Christie Brinkley , 56, has three children – Alexa Ray, 25, Jack, 15, and Sailor, 12 – and says being a mom was always part of her life plan. 

Christie Brinkley has been divorced for more than two years, but she's in no hurry to find love again. 

"Most of the time, I've got my kids with me, so I'm not as prone to meeting people," Brinkley tells February's Prevention, out Tuesday. "And then, you never really know if someone is talking to you because you're a celebrity. It's not my number one priority." 

"I always knew I wanted to be a mother ... it takes a lot of work," Brinkley says. "My work makes me a better mom. It gives me a little door to step out of my parenting and bring the excitement from that day back home." 

She also says she's found a novel way to bounce back from her painful – and very public – divorce from ex-husband Peter Cook. (She was also previously married to singer Billy Joel.) 

"You've got to find a way to keep laughing, even if it's black humor, and my friends are very good at that," she says. "Some people think of happiness as a luxury, but it's a necessity, and you need to make space for it in your life."

From Girls' Generation to After School and T-ara, these girl groups can be seen flaunting their shapely legs in super-mini shorts and skirts in their music videos, TV performances and awards shows.

Girls' Generation arguably kick-started the trend with the catchy dance number from their hit song 'Genie'. Former DJ and now author of the book Seoulful Living, Tan Li Yi, noted that watching that music video was the first time she became impressed by a girl showing off her legs, even though in this case, it was nine of them.

In Japan where Girls' Generation made a successful debut in September, they even earned the nickname 'Beautiful Legs Group'. Their single 'Genie' sold an estimated 45,000 copies in the first week of its release, breaking the record for foreign artists debuting in Japan.

In Thailand, girls who have been copying this fashion trend by wearing skimpy shorts and skirts even got Thai public health authorities concerned due to the threat of dengue fever. They were advised to wear long pants to better protect themselves from mosquito bites.

Entertainment journalist Tan Chew Yen from the Chinese Central Integrated Newsroom reasoned that showing off legs allows these girl groups to maintain a healthier but nonetheless sexy image. It invites less controversy and criticism from concerned citizens as compared to showing cleavage, for example, due to their young fan base.

Hugh Hefner has made it official. The 84 year old Playboy magnate proposed to his 24 year old Playmate girlfriend Crystal Harris on Christmas Eve.

 "I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve," Hefner  tweeted. "When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory." 

Harris was cast as the December 2009 Playboy Playmate and began dating Hefner soon after. She also appeared in the sixth season of Hef's reality show "The Girls Next Door." This will be the third marriage for Mr. Hefner, we wish him the best!

KARA, SNSD scoop awards

Popular Korean girl groups, KARA and Girls’ Generation have successfully entered the Japanese music scene. 

According to the annual ranking by Japan’s Oricon music chart, KARA has taken the No. 1 spot for the rookie artist with the best sales revenue.




Girl group KARA has so far released two singles, five albums and one DVD and have earned themselves an income of 1.3 billion yen ($15 million) in total sales. Girls’ Generation have released two singles, six albums and one DVD raking in a total income of 800 million yen ($9.5 million).


The rookie awards for highest album revenue per song title went to Girls’ Generation for their catchy songs “Gee” and “Genie.” The third position went to KARA for their song “Jumping.”

LONDON - LIZ Hurley and her husband have separated, the British actress announced on Sunday, as a newspaper reported she has been having an affair with Australia cricket great Shane Warne.

'Not a great day,' Hurley told her followers on social networking site Twitter. 'For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago.

'Our close family and friends were aware of this.' Hurley, 45, who has an eight-year-old son, Damian, married Indian businessman Arun Nayar three years ago.

Britain's News of the World tabloid reported Sunday that Hurley had spent two nights with Warne, 41, in his London hotel suite last week.

She had been flirting with him for months via Twitter, it said. Divorced former leg-spin bowler Warne arrived in Britain on Wednesday to shoot interviews for his new television show, Warnie, the newspaper said.
