Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas on March 15, 1975 to Tejano parents, Enrique Longoria Jr. and Ella Eva Mireles. She was raised Roman Catholic. Eva Longoria is the youngest of four sister and the older ones are named Elizabeth Judina, Emily Jeannette and Esmeralda Josephina.

Eva Longoria first wanted to be a fashion model and sent some photos to a modeling agency but was declined because of her height. Eva Longoria went to Marvin P. Baker Middle School and after that to Roy Miller High School and she subsequently received her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology at nearby Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

During this time, Eva Longoria won the title of Miss Corpus Christi, USA in 1998. After graduating college, Eva Longoria entered a talent contest that brought her to Los Angeles, California and shortly after that she was spotted and signed by a theatrical agent.
